Web Producer/Project Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Business Development • Work with the Digital Solutions Consultants (DSC) to brainstorm possible solutions to client business needs and prepare estimates and timelines for digital projects, presenting them to clients as necessary • Along with the DSC, conduct internal project transfer meeting during to ensure smooth transition of project to delivery team once sign-off has been received • Work with Account Services and the DSC to understand the client’s overall business objectives and strategies and how each digital project fits into to the overall account strategy
Project Delivery • Manage cross-functional teams (design, technology, etc.) in the delivery of small to medium digital projects and work as directed by Sr. Producers in the delivery of large scale engagements for JWTSC clients • Manage the client relationship from sales hand-off to project delivery by conducting regular calls, monitoring and escalating project risks, soliciting client feedback, making modifications to deliverables and processes, and partnering with Account Services to ensure client satisfaction. • Develop detailed Microsoft Project plans for project delivery, communicate and track project milestones and monitor progress for all team members against plan. • Develop project scope documents, manage the development process to minimize scope creep and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery, involving Account Services and the Digital Solutions Consultants in issue resolution as necessary. • Create communications plans, prepare status reports and conduct internal and external status meetings as necessary to ensure effective issue resolution and quality project delivery. • Work with Interactive and Regional Creative to ensure that all digital projects meet accepted best practices in usability and Web site design and support agency developed branding initiatives • Participate in workshops and other discovery sessions to develop business requirements for projects. Communicate those requirements to the delivery team and ensure that solutions meet those requirements • Manage third party vendors, including ATS consultants, contractors, and product vendors as necessary in the delivery of projects, including gathering estimates, negotiating rates, and working with the Account Services and operations to ensure prompt settlement of invoices • Facilitate the presentation of deliverables to clients (creative concepts, site organization, requirements, plans, etc.) • Manage the development of new digital@jwt products as necessary
Personal/Operations • Keep on top of trends in Web site development and project management through reading appropriate industry publications, Web sites, and e-mail lists as well as through attendance at conferences • Work with the Director, Digital Development, Sr. Producers and other digital delivery team members on process improvements, and other initiatives designed to improve the effectiveness and quality of digital delivery within the agency. • Prepare financial reports and monitor billing activity for projects as part of the effort to ensure profitability
Skills/Requirements: • 2-3 years of previous experience managing interactive/Web projects, including estimation and project plan development • Familiarity with Web development technologies, including content management systems, HTML, and Flash • Familiarity with best practices in Web site development, including usability and design • Ability to lead cross functional teams (including creative and technology), by setting project objectives and managing to them • Ability to interact with clients at a variety of levels and across functions, and manage client expectations to ensure client satisfaction • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment • Enjoyment and understanding of technology and the Internet • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to present in front of large groups • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet tools, including Web browsers, project management systems, and e-mail programs • Self-sufficiency • Motivation of self and others • Team building and interpersonal skills • Previous ad agency or consulting experience preferred
