Dear JCC,

I saw your ad for a 'Website Manager' on Career Builder and would like to be considered for the job. My  career has spanned print production and website technologies, much of it in the context of sales and marketing. I pioneered online marketing for my employer, Krause America, in the mid nineties and led my most recent one, Restorion, in an award-winning online brand development, including writing much of the copy for the website. For another employer, 2grrrls.com, I integrated early social networking software,  a successful online store and a bulletin board, into a custom CRM/marketing package. I am confident that these experiences qualify me to make a significant contribution to the success of the JCC.

I am passionate about the use of the web as an integrated marketing/communication tool to help people and organizations come together to satisfy their mutual needs. As an experienced web application developer and  I have conceived and developed unique ways for websites to interact with customers. For a freelance client, Inforamp, I developed a DSL provisioning system that parsed customer and vendor email, updated the customer service database, issued email transactions and received the responses. For 2grrrls, I devised a  successful and attractive interactive email game that engaged people and drove them to the website.

Your job ad seems to me to be requesting a very broadly skilled person that 'gets' the web and how it works with other communication media to allow you and your constituency to work together to accomplish your mission. I read between the lines to see that you are looking for a person that can see organizational needs and satisfy them in an almost entrepreneurial way. The dominant character of my career is that, in my pursuit of being a helpful co-worker, I perceive needs and accept direction and make things happen.

I would very much like to work for the JCC. My background, skills and strengths in the area of web development will be an asset.  I am versatile, skilled at evaluating organizational needs and working effectively as part of a team.  I recognize the importance of working hard to achieve a valuable mission. have a broad range of skills that apply to this job and am a versatile person. I am completely confident that I can make a huge contribution to the JCC.

Please call so we can arrange an opportunity to discuss this further.

Best Regards,

TQ White II
