Dear ComPsych,

I found your ad for a Web Content Manager on Monster.com and would like to be considered for the job. As an early proponent of internet marketing communication technology, I have lead a number of my employers and clients in the development of their internet presence. For Krause America, a maker of printing industry equipment, I designed and implemented their website myself and was responsible for all content on the website. For them, I wrote copy for both the website and trade magazine ads resulting in a large increase in visibility and sales productivity. For 2 Grrrls, Inc., I created a website and, in addition to managing the implementation of the content of the website, I also planned and implemented several website features that increased both initial and repeat traffic. In both cases, these companies felt that their brand awareness increased and saw improvements in their business as a result.

I am well experienced in content management systems. In addition to being a writer, I am also a programmer and have written effective content management systems. This internal understanding of the components of online content management have made me able to guide freelance clients such as SCW FItness in the implementation of a full-service, content managed website. With my help, they moved an immense amount of static web copy to a database-managed website and have saved countless hours of production time and improved its appearance.

Perhaps more important than these accomplishments is that I am a broadly experienced internet production manager. I have developed several business units both inside corporations and as startup companies. I understand long-range planning and, with my through appreciation of the internet and its opportunities, am able to develop a creative vision. I am well-organized, am thoroughly familiar with corporate budgeting, and am an excellent analyst. Further, I am a true believer in "cross functional" teams. Collaboration and mutual support are hallmarks of my corporate experience.
